The great debate – Diamota’s logo

We had 2 main versions of the company logo developed, and it might appear obvious which one we went with.

That’s far from the truth. Behind the scenes it was a power struggle between Executives and Designers before the launch. Ordinarily, that’s a Dog-eat-Cat scenario; however, the outcome was decided by an intense bout of flu during which the designers staged a coup. Apparently, due to high fever, the executives have no recollection of ever giving the go-ahead for the current logo.

Still, the site launched with several decisions based on the Logo Theme, and here it stands today.

Below are the viable logo’s and we want to hear from you which one you like best. In your comment we also would like to know if you are male or female.

We think this mini-topic will help other companies understand what goes into these decisions. Logo, graphics and website design may not be a life-or-death decision, and yet certainly there is an art and a science to branding, and the imagery which captures the imagination of your viewers. Hopefully these opinions may shed some light on the perspectives and details which each of the representatives here- the executives and the designers, respectively – are seeking some mutual understanding.

We welcome your constructive thoughts:

Designer’s objective: “Making the transition between Web 2.0 and objective 3D imagery.”

#2: Executive’s choice-

Executive’s point: “we think the color spectrum is more exciting, and may have a broader appeal”
